Format changes and the winter blues
Because I've found it increasingly hard to write the in-depth essays and analysis I'm accustomed to writing on this blog--time and inspiration haven't been on my side lately--I thought I'd try to shake things up a bit by writing more entries that are shorter and punchier. Small bites of motocross content, if you will. I'm sure I'll still bash out the lengthy stuff now and then, but for those in-between times, look for bits and pieces, like today's entry, to fill the gap.
Now then.
Lately it's occurred to me again that bad winter weather has subtle effects on me--some bad and some good. Because the snow and cold has kept me from riding as much as I should, I have energy that goes in different directions. Sometimes, for example, it results in me detailing my truck especially well. And other times, it just results in me spending money. Witness my new engine-less bike:

True, it's useless at the moment, but when the snow melts at Northstar, there will be good times.
