Everyone in the '90s and '00s knew Greg King at the local races: he was a respected racer as well as an excellent prep man for the now-defunct Champion Speedway motocross course. He helped create many of my favorite layouts there: flowing berms and incredible jumps, all shaped to perfection.
Later, when my parents lived down the street from him, I found out he was driving the rig for the Yamaha of Troy squad. It was always slightly surreal to turn onto my parent's street and see the massive YoT hauler sitting there, and nowadays he's driving for arguably the most successful team in the sport: Team Pro Circuit/Kawasaki.
Watch below as Greg talks about his job traveling the national circuit.
While the FIM World Championship circuit is a world apart from our U.S. motocross scene, these excellent round-by-round videos from Moto magazine are enough to make me a fan.

Call me old fashioned, but I still say there's no better food for a race weekend than pasta, and RMS will be at Exit 28 to help you get your carbs this weekend.
