World Champs ride moto and bicycles
MX2 World Champ Ken Roczen and UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Champ Danny Hart got together recently in California for a little cross training on MXers and mountain bikes. Both riders looked great on their familiar rides, of course, but both also looked pretty comfortable when they switched rigs. I guess two wheels is two wheels.
I've ridden the mountain bike trail they were on in the video and it's pretty fun. I've ridden Lake Elsinore too (the moto track in the video), though I have fewer nice things to say about that place. No idea why anyone goes there when there are so many better tracks in SoCal.
By the way, if you haven't seen Hart's World Championship run from last year, set aside three minutes and check it out (even if you don't follow bikes). I still watch it each time I come across it, even though I've seen it 20 times by now. He beat the field by 11 seconds in this race, which would be like lapping the field at A1. Note the huge whip near the end of the run. The kid rides loose ... very loose.
